![]() The game takes many days to complete, and on at least some of them there should be a proper pair of heartbroken imps to help. If all else fails, don't worry about it today.Exiting and relaunching the game can sometimes help, but this should be your last resort because it may make one or both imps in the pair disappear rather than making the missing imp appear.(If it does run away when you approach, it's probably either hungry or a normal imp.).But someones a sole brokenhearted does spawn, this seems to happen more often if you didnt reconcile them the day before. It doesnt run or disappear and you can lead the broken hearted imp to it. Try a bon bon anyway and see if it behaves like a heartbroken imp! Sometimes theres an angry imp that doesnt have a broken heart over its head. If you approach an imp and it doesn't run away, but also never displays the crying or bonbon animations, it's probably heartbroken. ![]() Try a bon bon anyway and see if it behaves like a heartbroken imp! If you see an imp crying, it's probably heartbroken even though it never asks for a bon bon.Sometimes hungry and heartbroken imps incorrectly won't have a speech bubble over their heads.Don't, for example, save the game thinking that you'll be able to come back later and help them-they may not be there when you load the save. So if you see two heartbroken imps, try to help them in that play session. Imp locations, and even which imps are/aren't there, don't persist across play sessions.Conversely, before trying to help a heartbroken imp please make sure that there are two of them. There will occasionally be two heartbroken imps, so please take advantage of those opportunities when they arise.(As you may know, the dev team has now moved on to work on the sequel.) Here is some advice on the topic: Some time ago we fixed some of the issues with heartbroken imps not spawning in pairs, but the full solution continued to elude us right up until the final release of the game. These heartbroken imps look just like their regular counterparts but have two distinct signs which help you easily tell them apart.Unfortunately you're probably right. For starters, a broken heart appears in a thought bubble above their heads. Then, they'll keep crying until you help them. The first step towards helping Broken Heart Imps in Cozy Grove is baking Bon Bons. ![]() This, naturally, requires that you have unlocked resident baker bear, Alison Fisher.īon Bons require 2 Cocoa Beans and 20 Toasted Nut Flour. Dann werden sie weiter weinen, bis Sie ihnen helfen. We got the former from Pandam, the merchant that appears on Wednesdays, but Mr. Kit also sells them and it's likely that you can also grow them in trees or bushes that we've yet to discover. Kit also sells the latter, but you'll get them quicker by burning Walnuts at Flamey, your trusty campfire. Walnuts can be dug up from holes in the ground using your shovel, found in bushes, or harvested from Walnut Trees. ![]() The Bon Bons take one hour to bake, after which you can pick them up from Patrice Furbac, the postal bear to the north. As soon as you do, you'll notice that you get a stack of 20 Bon Bons. You might be tempted to worry about yet another item you have to store using limited space, but their high quantity is actually a blessing. Simply feeding Cozy Grove's Broken Heart Imps your newly obtained sweets isn't enough. If you roam around the island, you'll notice that they come in pairs. For us, some days spawned them closer, others further away. Regardless, the sole way of making them happy is by reuniting them with their peer who's also crying. To do this, you'll need to lure one towards the other using a trail of Bon Bons. If your island only has one such imp, waiting until the next day usually solves that issue. Hold the sweets in your hand and throw one towards the heartbroken imp. It'll move to it, pick it up, and eat it. ![]()
